High Hardness And Strength 3J21 Superelastic Alloy Wire Strip Rod
3J21 is a deformation reinforced cobalt-based alloy, with good
plastic properties and easy to process in the solid solution state.
After high strain rate cold processing and time limit treatment,
3J21 can obtain high mechanical and elastic properties, but after
the solid solution treatment, the alloy can no longer be
strengthened by time limit treatment.
Characters
3J21 has high strength, high hardness,high elasticity limit, high
energy storage ratio, high fatigue strength, small elasticity lag
and rear effect, non magnetic, good wear resistance, seismic and
shock resistance, excellent corrosion resistance, can work at high
temperature 400 °C and also can work normally at low temperature.

3J21 heat treatment
Elastic element: 30%~70% cold strain + 370 °C~480 °C, 2~4 hours,
air cold
Axis tip: 90% cold strain + 500 °C~550 °C, 4 hours, air cold
Oxid film appears on the surface of the alloy after heat treatment,
and that can be removed by alkali immersion-acid washing method.

Usually, 3J21 is supplied in cold rolled strip and cold pulled wire
